Southwestern Electric and Ameren operations and engineering personnel have restored power to 1,250 Fayette County members affected an outage that began shortly after 2:30 p.m. The outage was traced to a fault in an Ameren transmission line that supplies power to Southwestern Electric’s Sefton and Confidence Substations. Crews restored power at about 4:40 p.m. 

The outage affected Fayette County members from Highway 51 east to the Fayette-Effingham County line.
