Ameren Work Interrupts Power to 1,800 Southwestern Electric Members

Wednesday | November 29, 2023
All News

We wanted to post a report regarding outages experienced by Southwestern Electric members in Bond County yesterday.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, Ameren crews were rerouting power to balance demands on their system. Their work interrupted power to transmission lines serving Southwestern Electric’s Reno and Pocahontas substations. As a result, about 1,800 co-op members lost power yesterday afternoon and again last night.

Ameren personnel have said we can expect an additional brief interruption in about 10 days. We’ve asked for a date and times. As soon as we learn more, we’ll share it on our socials. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
