An Ameren transmission line failure interrupted service to more than 2,700 Southwestern Electric members last night. The line, which supplies power to the cooperative’s Edwardsville, St. Jacob and Fruit Road substations, failed at 12:30 a.m. Crews restored power to Southwestern’s Edwardsville and Fruit Road Substations shortly before 12:40 a.m. Members served by the cooperative’s St. Jacob Substation had their power restored at 2:25 a.m.
