Strong Storms Sweeping Across Service Area

8:20 p.m.

About 185 Southwestern Electric members are without power this evening as strong storms sweep across the I-70 corridor, bringing down limbs and power lines. At 8:15 p.m., 130 Madison County members were without power and 53 members in Bond County had lost service. 

Crews were on site at several locations, surveying damage and making repairs. 

Members are cautioned to avoid downed and low-hanging lines, which may be energized or become energized at any time.
