Southwestern Electric crews and Ameren personnel have identified a transmission line fault that interrupted power to the cooperative’s Sefton and Confidence substations this morning. Crews are on site and making repairs. At present, 1,300 Fayette County members are without power.
The outage is affecting members from Herrick south to the Fayette-Marion County line, and from Highway 51 east to the Fayette-Effingham County line.
Members are cautioned to avoid all downed and low-hanging power lines. The lines may be energized, or become energized without warning.
