Southwestern Electric crews continue to work in Madison County today after a tree snapped several utility poles and tore down infrastructure near Highway 162. Linemen expect to complete repairs by about 6 p.m.
As of 3:45 p.m., about 25 Southwestern members remained without power.
Crews restored service to more than 1,800 Madison County members this morning after the tree toppled into Southwestern Electric’s right of way, downing lines and damaging poles, including two double-circuit structures. The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 a.m.
The outage affected members in the Maryville area and north of Collinsville.
UPDATE 4:50 P.M.
Crews completed repairs and restored power to all members shortly before 4:50 p.m.
