Ameren Transmission Line Fault Interrupts Service to 2,900 Southwestern Members

At 10 a.m., an Ameren transmission line fault interrupted power to three Southwestern Electric substations in Madison County. Members served by Southwestern’s Edwardsville, St. Jacob and Fruit Road Substations are affected by the outage. In total, about 2,900 members are currently without power.

The service interruption reaches from Highway 140 at Hamel south into St. Clair County, and from Glen Carbon west to Grantfork.

As of 10:30 a.m., no estimated time of restoration was available.
