    About 435 Southwestern Electric members in Troy lost power at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday. Linemen investigating the outage sourced the problem to an underground cable fault. Crews are currently on site making repairs.

    About 225 Southwestern Electric members in Madison County and 100 members in Bond County remain without power as storms continue to bring lighting and rain to the area. At 6:40 p.m., a strong storm swept through Madison and Bond counties leaving more than 700 members without service.

    About 90 members in Bond County are without service following this morning’s thunderstorm. The outage is affecting members from Highway 140 to Baumberger Avenue, between Old Ripley Road and Round Prairie Road. Southwestern crews are currently surveying the area, working to isolate the source of the damage before making repairs.

    About 630 Fayette County members are without power this evening after strong winds snapped poles and brought down power lines. Crews have been deployed to several locations in the county and are making repairs.
  • Winds Causing Isolated Outages Saturday, March 24, 2018
    About 450 Fayette County members are without power this morning. Crews have been dispatched and are currently making repairs. Strong winds are moving branches into power lines, resulting in momentary blinks, damage to fuses, and isolated outages throughout Fayette, Effingham and Shelby counties. Members are advised to be alert for fallen branches and to avoid downed and low-hanging power lines.
