    Southwestern crews are responding to outages across the co-op’s service area this morning as high winds move limbs and debris into power lines. Current forecasts call for winds of 20 to 30 mph today, with gusts reaching 50 mph. The conditions make scattered outages likely through early evening.

    Southwestern crews are responding to multiple outages this morning as strong winds bring down trees and move limbs and debris into power lines. As of 4 a.m., about 760 members were without power.

    High winds are moving across the region this morning, creating outages throughout Southwestern Electric’s service area. As of 3:30 a.m., about 700 members were without power. Southwestern crews have been deployed and are on site in several locations, working to repair damage.

    About 575 Bond County members lost power this evening when an Ameren transmission line serving Southwestern’s Smithboro Substation failed. Crews have been dispatched to isolate the fault and make repairs. The outage began at about 10:40 p.m.
